WHAT ARE AIRREX INFRARED HEATERS?
AIRREX is the market leader when it comes to diesel-powered infrared heaters. AIRREX fuel-powered heaters produce safe infrared radiation.
The heat generated by AIRREX heaters is evenly distributed in the materials of the space or object to be heated. Thanks to the fuel that is fully utilized as heating energy, the emissions of the Airrex heater are kept so low that a separate exhaust pipe that is pulled out of the space to be heated is not needed.
The heating effect is fast and the patented oil burner and exhaust system make an efficient use of the energy contained in the fuel.
HOW DO AIRREX DIESEL HEATERS WORK?
The device has a patented oil burner that circulates the combustion gases through pipelines with ceramic coating which generates infrared heating.
The multiple combustion process ensures complete and clean combustion. This is why a separate exhaust pipe is not needed. This way, all the heat is also utilized. Ventilation in accordance with building regulations is sufficient.
AIRREX is a very safe heater; it has twelve different safety systems such as odor prevention system, fuel level, tilt, overheating, security system and automatic shutdown.

What kind of ventilation does the heater need?
Airrex runs on liquid fuel (biodiesel, diesel or red diesel) which is burned completely in the heater. Because there is fire, the heater needs good ventilation to operate properly. The flame is “hidden” inside the tubes of the heater. That is why we might forget that the burning is constantly ongoing and the process needs air.
The regular fireplace is a good example. If the vents are not open, the fireplace won’t operate. The same goes for the Airrex heaters; fresh air must be brought into the space. And of course, the carbon dioxide-containing air must be released to contain the sufficient oxygen level in the space. Too low oxygen level will shut down the heater and activate an error code.
As mentioned, the heaters need oxygen to run, which is why sufficient ventilation in the room must be ensured. Natural ventilation in accordance with the applicable building regulations is sufficient, provided that no inlet or outlet vents have been blocked. It is important to ensure that air circulates in the space being heated. Ideally, air should be fed in through an inlet vent at the bottom and the CO2-containing air should be discharged through an outlet vent at the top.
DOES THE HEAT SPREAD EVEN INTO A LARGE SPACE?
Yes, it does. Infrared heat spreads evenly very far. Many mistakenly think that a fan is needed to transfer heat from one end of a hall to another, for example. A fan is not needed – the infrared heater heats up material, such as the wall, floor and all the materials in the space.
WHY IS AN INFRARED HEATER MORE EFFICIENT THAN A FAN HEATER?
The infrared heater heats material. A fan heater heats air. When you open an overhead door of a hall, for example, the warm air inside escapes, and cold air gets in. In a hall equipped with an infrared heater, all materials are warm so a lot of heat energy is retained even after the air change. In a hall equipped with a fan heater, all the heat escapes out of the door, and heating must be started over at a much lower temperature. As such, the infrared heater needs much less energy.
HOW CAN THE DIESEL HEATER NOT SMELL?
When the fuel used is burned almost completely, it does not create odours or dangerous emissions. Carbon monoxide is formed by incomplete combustion, with too little oxygen. When combustion is complete, no carbon monoxide is formed. The product development history of Airrex goes back over 20 years, so the heater’s operation has been honed to perfection.
CAN THE HEATER BE USED WITHOUT AN APPLICATION OR WIFI?
Yes you can. The i-models also works like previous Airrex models. You can control them with the control panel on the machine or with the supplied remote control.
